About me

I hold a Masters Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from Reading University.  My training was both thorough and rigorous.  I also hold a Diploma in Supervision from the Society of Analytical Psychology.

I am:

  • a Senior Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), included on the BACP Register for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and also listed on the Professional Standards Authority Accredited Voluntary Register

  • a full member of APPCIOS (Association for Psychodynamic Practice and Counselling in Organisational Settings)

  • an APPCIOS registered Psychodynamic Organisational Therapist

  • a full member of BAPPS (British Association for Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervisors)

  • a recognised mental health therapist for a number of well-known health insurance companies

  • a clinical supervisor working for a number of charities including NEXUS NI and Victim Support

  • a clinical supervisor offering supervision to individual counsellors and psychotherapists

  • a clinical lead of a well established Buckinghamshire counselling and psychotherapy service

  • completing British Psychoanalytic Council registered psychodynamic psychotherapy training. 

I have:

 

  • almost 20 years' experience offering counselling and psychotherapy

  • almost 10 years' experience offering clinical supervision

  • worked for over 7 years within the NHS in Berkshire and Oxfordshire GP practices as an in-house counsellor

  • published research in working with chronic illness and disability  

  • worked for over 10 years as a clinical lead for a large Oxfordshire counselling and psychotherapy service

  • business experience across a number of business sectors with companies of all sizes - from multinationals to smaller companies.

 

I also continue to read and train to keep up to date with wider current research. This enables me to work more effectively with my clients.
